City of Whitewater 4th of July Parade Celebrates America 250

The City of Whitewater invites residents and visitors to join us for the annual 4th of July Parade on July 4, 2026. This year’s parade will be especially meaningful as we celebrate Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of America’s independence with the theme, America 250. Community members, organizations, businesses, and groups are encouraged to participate and showcase their patriotic spirit by decorating entries to reflect this historic milestone. A special prize category will be awarded to the best parade entry that celebrates the America 250 theme.

This year also marks the first year the City of Whitewater Parks Department will be overseeing the parade, and we are honored to carry on this long-standing community tradition. The City would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Whitewater Lions Club for their many years of service and dedication in organizing the parade and helping make this event a highlight of the summer season.

The parade will step off promptly at 10:00 a.m. from the intersection of Prince Street and Main Street. The route will travel down Main Street to the intersection of Main Street and Whitewater Street, then continue down Whitewater Street to Cravath Lakefront Park. Road closures will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m., and residents are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Those interested in participating in the parade may register by emailing their completed parade application to parks@whitewater-wi.gov. We look forward to celebrating this special anniversary with the community and hope to see everyone along the parade route on the 4th of July.
